10 years. I tell all of my residents that they will be my colleagues far longer than I will be their attending. So I always treat them as such.

It was one of the biggest honors of my career to be the Ross Nicholson Invited Visiting Professor for Starship Children’s Hospital & New Zealand Orthopaedic Association/Residency. New Zealand may be the prettiest country I have ever seen, with some of the friendliest people.

The dinner at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron was amazing, and I got to see the America’s Cup! The boat rides were epic, and the hill climb up Rangitoto Island was an adventure I will never forget.

This is an awesome study that helps give patients and surgeons real data to understand risk of progression of scoliosis depending on curve size and Sanders score (growth potential). Congrats to @JaxScoliosisDoc for his hard work and thoughtfulness about this paper!

This is a 11 year old w/syndromic scoliosis from a mitochondrial abnormality. Very stiff curve corrected w/temp internal distraction, Pontes, & dual rod reduction. Alignment was improved in all three planes. Six months and doing great. @shrinerssocal @shrinershospitals #scoliosis
