Doctors criticised for striking. Paid less than non-skilled workers, less skilled workers and restricted on leave, expected to be responsible for arresting patients.

This is my mum. She died alone in hospital due to COVID lung disease. I work for the NHS, I work with children. Health is on its knees. Education is on its knees. Social care is on its knees. Let's hope change IS change. Prioritise our children. They're the future.

A Junior Doctor can buy a single sandwich for £3 in the hospital cafeteria and has to pay.
A MP can get British Beef and potato paprika goulash for £3.19 and then make you pay.
They also get free parking and Junior Doctors pay £1300.
Junior Doctors deserve to be paid.

Today, NICE have given approval for the life-changing #cysticfibrosis modulator drugs to be made available on the NHS in England. This follows many years of campaigning by Cystic Fibrosis Trust and people right across the CF community.

I can not believe that NICE even considered not prescribing this life changing drug due to cost. It was discriminatory at the highest level. Thank goodness common sense has prevailed #kaftrio #precisionmeds #NICE #NHSE

Rufus has cystic fibrosis and needs the life-changing treatment Kaftrio to help him breathe more easily.
The NHS has secured permanent access to this treatment for eligible children and adults with cystic fibrosis, now and in the future.

But also the daily abuse they have to put up with. Vocation always comes before money but things have become so stressful that as you say, many #NHS staff, at all levels are thinking of leaving

When Junior Doctors are on £16 an hour and MP's are on £46 an hour.
And raising the Junior Doctors pay by £4 an hour is unaffordable, even though they just raised MP's pay by £5 an hour.
It's hard not to see the lie.

Totally agree Lucy, passion, motivation and enthusiasm are needed. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither should a Medical career be. Being balanced, gaining valuable life experience and being 'you' is vital.

I shared this because it’s pertinent to me right now. So often in medicine we’re encouraged to get to the top as quickly as possible. I firmly believe we should encourage juniors to follow their passions and take the scenic route. The NHS will only benefit in the long run.

Early antibiotics help in sepsis - but a meta analysis suggests no benefit at 1 hour - benefit at 3 hours.
3 hours would give us time to think. Would help us to use less Domestos willy nilly.
And really interesting results using unadjusted v adjusted data…
