Today I'm proud to announce that we've added a brand new rescue with the most up-to-date technology and are hiring 16 new firefighters to join the force in the upcoming months.
These efforts are in thanks to the Providence City Council and with support from Senator Whitehouse, Senator Reed, Congressman Amo and Congressman Magaziner. These investments in the City not only strengthen our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our community but will also equip firefighters with technology that protect our residents.
The City of Providence stands by our brave and dedicated Fire Department and these initiatives only make our community safer and stronger.
