The juiciest alphas I've ever traded were sports betting. Some of them still exist, but it quickly becomes an infrastructure problem (ie. how to bet with size > $10 and not get limited/banned) rather than a modeling problem. And don't forget to include taxes in your EV 🙃

betting sports is just like trading. you gotta buy too cheap and sell too rich.
if you manage to do that consistently and not bet too big, you will make money over the long run.

I was at first extremely bullish on propAMMs but incentives are terrible, abuse is rampant and it requires the whole space (aggregators, apps and users) to police properly.
Currently it takes one MM misbehaving and one aggregator refusing to penalize it to skew the volumes completely.

Why increase the max tx size to 4kB (which is great) but cap max accounts at 64? 35-->64 increase is not good enough for efficient swapping on DEX-es without ALTs.

So I asked ChatGPT for a challenging Math problem to test an AI. My laptop had to 'think' for 5 minutes and 31 seconds. after which it solved it. 🤯
DeepSeek R1-Distill-QWen-32B in 4bit quant. Almost 20 tokens per second while riffing on this.
