I'm going to attempt to run 106km around the Isle of Wight as part of the Isle of Wight ultra challenge on Saturday. I'm raising money for St Christopher's hospice, our local hospice. There's more about why on the page. justgiving.com/page/dvc-100k…

Oi @CamScanner you can get straight in the bin with "Give up" as the opposite of signing up for a trial. What sort of garbage is that? I have subscribed before in the past, but won't be again anytime soon with that sort of nonsense. One for you @harrybr

100% this should be a TV show. Cuteness, drama, characters, aggression, slapstick, tension, jeopardy. It has it all.

Blimey that's one of the most damning things I've seen about the government, and from a very gently asked non-combative question.
A Conservative MP asked to name ONE thing that works better than it did 14 years ago. @IainDale: "Basically you can't answer the question"

Again and again I find there is no field of design with more arrogance and less ability than people who design taps.

Are there worse people than the tools who put their bags on the seat next to them on a busy train to try and protect the seat?

The main immediate benefit of chat GPT, is that for the first time in human history, all parents are now able to find out what their children actually do in their jobs. "Explain, as if to a 5 year old, what a <job title> does"

Who'd be an MP? My huge respect to anyone who puts up with the abuse, pressure and workload which seems to be par for the course. We need to think about how to ensure that public life doesn't repel the best and brightest. For now, we should be grateful for those it attracts.

Emotionally devastating writing. So beautiful. Full of love, humanity, crushing sadness and visceral pain. thetimes.co.uk/article/09dae…

I obviously have professional suspicions towards think tanks behind this government given they claim to be free traders, sometimes trade experts, but supported the greatest rise in trade barriers by a developed country in modern times. Growth does not seem to be their motivation.

With direct lies like this in our media it is little surprise that the UK is broken. The public deserve protection against this sort of misinformation and disinformation.
It’s done already 2019, it must be true it’s in the Express 🤷🏼‍♂️

Stephen Glover has the grace to praise BBC, but newspaper people, of which I was one, fail to understand that the Beeb unifies us all the time, every day - it the press which tears us apart with lies and dogma.

I'm a headteacher. My head of music had recently released an album of his own music. It's not my cup of tea but I keep it on repeat on Spotify because I love that he hasn't given up on his dreams.
