Disclosure Day pits aliens against religion. But faith leaders are surprisingly chill about the whole thing!
Pope Francis said he'd baptize an ET. Many theologians have weighed in.

JUST IN: Plaintiffs in the lawsuit to restrict ICE’s use of force in Minnesota filed an emergency motion with the 8th circuit court of appeals tonight to reinstate those restrictions.
It included this affidavit from a person who witnessed today’s shooting:
I don't know what to do with the fact that my government is giving federal officers permission to summarily execute protestors at will -- or the knowledge that thousands (if not millions) of my fellow citizens are eager to lie in service of such violence

Hakeem Jeffries got some grief for making the shutdown about health care, insisting on a clean ACA extension

It’s a subtle thing. But the industry and Congress clearly felt they had a stronger argument if they portrayed the Biden admin alcohol study as coming after the industry-preferred study — and they have consistently twisted these facts to advance that story.
It’s one particularly wonky example of how politicians warp reality to bend it to what they want people to believe — not what actually happened.
And at the end of the day, even if they misled people, they won the fight. That’s politics, I guess:
