Good to see coverage of our report which highlights the huge challenges facing women (cis and trans) experiencing homelessness, and the services who support them, across Manchester in a context of years of austerity.
Homeless women in a city face a "critical threat" by a lack of female-only temporary accommodation - BBC coverage of research from @Isis__BG with @e_ackerley & @TheAlisonBriggs bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93p…

We call for more inclusive policy making on housing & homelessness that is co-designed with those with lived experience of homelessness. All women’s needs must to be prioritised to ensure there is good support in place that centres dignity and safety.

Evidence of the deep harm caused by the two-child limit - and of the benefits of abolishing this damaging policy - is mounting. Keeping this policy will only make things worse for struggling families & increase societal costs in the long run. 🧵 theguardian.com/society/arti…

These riots started in Parliament. Rioters chant “stop the boats” and “we want our country back” - using language from politicians across the political spectrum. It’s not enough to call out violence, politicians need to stop normalising hate. In policy and practice.

.@BBC insisting on reporting racist rioters as 'protestors' and 'demonstrators' is a gross misrepresentation of the violence impacting communities of colour across the UK. Language matters.
“Protests”. You keep saying “protests” @BBCNews - do you mean white supremacists are on the streets terrorising Muslims? What exactly are they “protesting” against?

Thinking of the boys and their loved ones today as they face the racist criminal justice system to appeal this deeply unjust case #FreeTheMcr10
📢 THE MANCHESTER 10 📢 As time passes, some followers will be new to the case of the Manchester 10. In May 2022, 10 black boys were found guilty by association, the majority for harms they didn’t commit. It’s an ongoing, racist injustice in our city, follow the fight here ⤵️
