@LouDPhillips @teresag555 @Photini1967 @drdoomed01 @AnitaGarcia2525 @MozPerkins @adgirlMM @jameshealyjr @TaraWilcoxon @SirJeremyLondon @VictoriaBlue68 I wrote this, and I know it's long, but I hope my friends will read this: After two hurricanes swept through my beachside location in October and November, the saltwater infusion devastated nearly all the grass and shrubs. It might take a while for everything to recover. A few weeks ago, however, I noticed a distinctive stalk growing near the road. My first instinct was to dig it up and move it to a more hospitable spot, away from the lawn maintenance crew's weed whackers. They must have noticed it too because they cleaned around it but left it standing. A few days ago, it bloomed into a beautiful sunflower, standing tall and looking stunning amidst the barren surroundings. Below are my pictures of it. It's a sign and a lesson for me and, I hope, for others. No matter how bad things might get, there is always hope. Hope for beauty, hope for courage, and hope for life. I share this in the hope that you might carry it with you into tomorrow and the new year.

Robert Packer is now facing 5 new charges for allowing his dogs to attack several different neighbors landing them in the hospital and the dogs being euthanized which pisses me off because it’s obvious the owner taught them to be that way. This isn’t the first time either.

ALL MAGA ARE PEDOPHILES! Self-proclaimed MAGA deviant mother. Indiana woman, a mother of 7 children, is accused of offering her 7-month-old daughter for sex to a man on Snapchat for $400. 32-year-old Morgan Stapp denied sending the message, but police said the message was sent from a phone in her home. Stapp is reported to have sent three photos of her baby daughter with the following message: “You can f@ck her for $400. Half now, half later. I’ll send you my address. I live alone and her father is nowhere to be found.”

Check you out fucking crushing it: Through the exhaustion and the bullshit, you got out of bed when it felt impossible, the struggle isn't proof you're broken. It's proof you're building. I see you, and damn, I'm proud.

“When our genes could not store all the information necessary for survival, we slowly invented brains. But then the time came, perhaps ten thousand years ago, when we needed to know more than could conveniently be contained in brains. So we learned to stockpile enormous quantities of information outside our bodies. We are the only species on the planet, so far as we know, to have invented a communal memory stored neither in our genes nor in our brains. The warehouse of that memory is called the library. A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called ‘leaves’) imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person - perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time, proof that humans can work magic.” — Carl Sagan
