During research for our 2025 conference the Dean of the Arches was 'struck by the fact that there was already - by the date of the Council of Nicea in 325AD - a canon (or register) of clergy...it had taken 1700 years for us to catch up'

It was very good to welcome Archbishop Angaelos at our Conference today to hear the Coptic Orthodox perspective on the Council of Nicaea.

As part of the @EccLawSoc conference marking the 1700th Anniversary of the Council of Nicaea at @ChiCathedral, honoured to be interviewed by my dear brother and friend @BishopOfFulham, Jonathan Baker, on the history and ministry of the Coptic Orthodox Church, its theology, and its particular perspective on Christology and the Council of Nicaea, with an opportunity to also receive questions from attendees.
A joy, as ever, to attend the Cathedral Service, as one of its Ecumenical Canons, and spend time with many dear fiends there, including @MarkHillKC and Bishop David Hamid.
