Dear @AGLEnergy You’re replacing my electricity meter on Friday. You’ve given me a time frame between 7.30am and 4pm. Seriously! Conflicting info. Be home. Don’t have to be home. Waste a day. Don’t waste a day = loyal customers don’t stay loyal any longer.
Surely, your contractor can provide a more realistic window so your customers, who add to your healthy profits, can organise their days. Especially, given I’ve actually made time to ensure I’m home. What’s the saying: shop around!
So @myer ordered a specific product online not available in store anymore. Bought them from you for years. Didn’t have the number I wanted so reduced my order. You’ve just canceled my order - they’re not actually in stock! Why do we even bother with department stores anymore?
Dear everyone.
And especially Media Watch.
The proof is not in the pudding. *The proof of the pudding is in the eating.* That’s the idiom. I know language changes. But this use of the former makes this pedant want to throw things at the television. Have a good evening.
Mark is one of my oldest friends. That a pharmaceutical company puts profits over patients with rare cancers is unconscionable. I know times are tough. If you can help, We’d appreciate it greatly

Dear @Telstra Travelling O/S for work. Checked before I left that I’d have international day pass. App is hopeless. Says I don’t have roaming when I know I have. Now not sure how I’m going to be charged. Can’t make calls to colleagues only texts. Service is patchy. Nice work.
Nowhere near as significant but troubling nevertheless.
Same thing is happening to me with an AI generated 'news' voice on an aussie podcast.
It sounds just like me - but it isn't!
Scary times tweeps.

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI said it is suspending use of one of its AI voices after users noted how similar it sounds to actor Scarlett Johansson's voice. Johansson said via her publicist that Altman had reached out to her last September about voicing the system. cbsn.ws/4bt5Bra
Unfortunately Sydney siders are stuck with mediocre bus services for many years to come thanks to their privatization and shoddy very long term contracts signed a few weeks before the Libs lost NSW election smh.com.au/national/nsw/deal…

RIP my beloved young colleague, Jesse. Happy with a new man - and that, it is being alleged, was the problem. Condolences also to the family and friends of Luke Davies. Many tears tonight.
One big happy family…

Welcome aboard @andrewprobyn, Nine’s new National Affairs Editor.
Having you in the building is good for our industry, having you in the office is great for us!
Update @9NewsSyd@BenFordham Turns out we parked legally. Which is why the ticket machine allowed us to pay for parking. Transport for NSW put up the sign not @cityofsydney. Sign was correct and we were correct - blaming the towing company. Now trying to cancel fines/charges!
Dear @cityofsydney Are you serious with this sign?!!
Car was towed even though the machine gave us a ticket. It appears the Clearway is not from 2pm to 9pm on each day - but from 2pm on day one to 9pm on day three! Does that even make sense? So many others towed.
Or the bus, the train... or pretty much anywhere else!
