I love @GaryLineker but...
One of the world's biggest banks collapsed & no mainstream coverage.
If you're thinking "oh it's just a Silicon Valley thing", actually:
That's my business bank & many of my friends.
We all had a business on Friday, don't know if we will on Monday.
Most UK VCs (70% ?) & up to 50% of UK startups banked with SVB. They are the most innovative companies in the UK, driving growth and creating jobs. They have taken many years to build. They (& the UK tech ecosystem as a whole) risk being decimated if SVB UK is not rescued, fast.
Thank you for your leadership @GeorgeFreemanMP.
This is not a 1% problem. This is a problem that almost exclusively affects small companies.
Those aspiring to catalyse UK technology and life sciences into fledgling businesses to create indigenous jobs and impactful products.
