I don't oppose the butchery in Gaza because I love Hamas or hate Jews or love Islam or hate America. I don't oppose the butchery in Gaza because I'm a lefty or a commie or an anarchist or an anti-imperialist. I oppose the butchery in Gaza because I'm not a fucking psychopath. Opposing Israel's butchery in Gaza is so obvious, so common sense, such a bare-minimum, fundamental-level, Being Human 101 position that if it isn't immediately self-evident to you after learning the basic facts, your problem is much, much deeper than whatever ideology or bias or prejudice you might happen to have. There's something wrong with you as a person. If you support Israel's butchery in Gaza, you've got much bigger problems than merely not having the correct ist or ism belief system. You're just all fucked up inside. Your conditioning has made you into a generally shitty human being. You have deep and immensely consequential flaws in your character, and you won't mature as a person until you heal and transcend them.

Khalid Azizi, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), responded to statements by President Donald Trump alleging that the Kurds had prevented the delivery of American weapons to people inside Iran. "Such claims are regrettable. Whenever the U.S. government finds itself in a political or diplomatic deadlock, it attempts to blame the Kurds for failures or for the lack of a strategy to support resistance within Iran. He stressed that attributing political or operational problems to the Kurds does not provide a solution and distracts from the real challenges at hand." - @PDKIdeutsch

This trilingual dictionary came out last year I believe. It is very reasonably priced, offers a basic vocabulary of 750 words in Kurmancî, German and English, and while intended for children I feel adult learners could benefit from it as well. Now all we need is a Soranî version.

In an article for the London School of Economics (LSE), I argue that the Kurdistan Region’s diplomatic influence has long depended on its ability to project a unified and coherent position to the international community. Today, the question of whether the Iraqi Kurdistan Region can remain politically cohesive has become inseparable from its capacity to act effectively and credibly on the international stage. blogs.lse.ac.uk/mec/2026/06/…

My new commentary: A century of anti-Kurdish racism When remarks attributed to Turkish businessman Rahmi Koc about Kurdish womenrecently sparked public debate, the controversy appeared, at first glance, to concern little more than a singlestatement. Yet the intensity of the reaction suggested something deeper.  ... What surfaces in such moments is not simply a personal opinion but the persistence of narratives that haveshaped relations between Kurds and their surrounding societies for generations. ...The Kurdish experience is therefore not merely a political story. It is equally a story about prejudice, racism, power, memory, and the long afterlife of ideas... rudaw.net/english/categories…
