It runs on AWS Lambda, has a Github actions CI/CD pipeline and emails me every 6 hours with sites it fins. Probably overkill but fun to learn this stuff. The code is open source but if you use it to score a site you gotta share it with me!

I wrote a book! It’s an oral history of my grandpa. It started as a personal project but now is out in the world. My cousin worked on it with me Available here store.bookbaby.com/book/pake

“Pake” (pah-cuh) is Frisian for “grandpa.” My pake lived through the Depression, survived the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, immigrated to the US and raised 10 kids with my grandma. Quite a life

The timeline has been garbage recently. I see lots of tweets I didn't ask for. The worst are labeled <topic Twitter thinks you're interested in>. I didn't ask for this So I tried to kill this behavior, but I couldn't. Example of what I don't want:

Some topics makes sense based on what I read and watch, "Country Music," "Tech news" others maybe based on my demo (still yikes) "Joe Rogan experience." Others are funny. I don't know who some of these people are, and I'm not a "Libra" or "Sagittarius" or a horoscope person

But here's the kicker, you can click the "x" to "dismiss" on all the topics. But if you reload the page it's just populated with new topics. No matter what you do, stuff like "EDM," "Dallas Cowboys" and "WWE" comes back and it'll be "right in my your Home timeline." Love it.
