Here with their @BuffaloBicycles are some of the extraordinary Chilala healthcare team, who we were privileged to accompany to a clinic. Coming back I left after the group and Mercy caught me up to cycle back to Chilala together, just us two @powerofbicycles #BikeZambia

What an incredible year of celebration as @HeritageFundUK marked 30 years of the #NationalLottery. Since 1994, we have invested £1bn into places of worship. I am delighted to end 2024 with an announcement of £1.25m for these historic buildings and communities that care for them.

Gorgeous to hear the choristers of @NewCollegeChoir sing Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols in the cosy pews of St Nicholas Church, Islip. Mulled cider at the interval, too.

Spectacular work done by the wind making a sculpture on a fence with hay.
Amazing display of #StormDarragh aftermath, discovered up on #Exmoor #Somerset... where the wild conditions blasted this fence with hay, leaving nature's own woven version of 'rattan furniture'. Thanks to Mark Small for the pics... @bbcsomerset

December 7th is the feast day of St. Ambrose, patron saint of Beekeeping an candle makers. The Latin phrase for “honey” is “Ambrosia” or the food of the gods, thus the origin of St. Ambrose’s name. christianapostles.com/st-amb…

Today's the feast of St Ambrose, 4th Century Bishop of Milan and one of the Four Latin Doctors. Very popular in medieval Norfolk, his figure survives on no fewer than sixteen screens or pulpits, including here at East Ruston, a @TheCCT church: norfolkchurches.co.uk/eastru… 1/3

This handsome Grade II listed Methodist Church opened in 1904 on the Cowley Road. Today amongst other things it holds Oxford’s Baby Bank, providing crucial supplies to families. One of countless special roles that places of worship play at the heart of communities @MethodistGB
