My second grade friends & I have a GREAT time in math! My favorite part of teaching & learning is when the kids can’t and won’t stop sharing all of their “aha” 💡moments! They are growing & shrinking pattern enthusiasts! @GullattES1

Did you know that text book ❓s can “come to life”? In 2nd, we made this HMH task question come alive w/ manipulatives, work mats, & white boards 4 Ss to show their thinking & dive N 2 math investigations. Ss engaged in discourse 2 C how their strategies were same & different

Sometimes you must stop in the moment, address misconceptions immediately, & use any space as a learning environment…today I grabbed up my 6 kids that “didn’t get it” took them right into the hallway…and the “lightbulbs” magically came on 💡#justintimeinstruction

Readers don’t just read & THAT’S IT 🚫in fact, AVID READERS read & ANNOTATE the text for a deeper understanding! 5th graders practiced “tabbing” their narrative texts when identifying narrative text techniques, they even justified their conclusions w/ their tool🔍 @GullattES1
