Egg hunt w/ a math twist 🌪️. Ss hunt for eggs w/ ?s of the year’s NR, PAR & GSR standards taught, show their work on white boards, & trade the correct answer for a candy filled egg …great way to kick off an intense GMAS Review @MsKnox_

We used the virtual robbers in class today. This is from my new student who speaks NO English. He had no laptop so he asked for paper to do the assignment instead of working with a partner.

Such an AH-MAZING hands on math task today in 3rd grade. Ss were tasked w/ 1. Creating traditional pizza w/ appropriate fractions & toppings 2. “Reimage” pizza as a breakfast pizza w/ equivalent fractions, 3. Create dessert s’’ores w/ fractions > 1 🔥🔥🔥 @MsKnox_

It’s was definitely a CHALLENGE but they nailed it!!!! Using Cuisenaire rods to determine fractional relationships… Ss quickly realized that it takes work to get to the final destination🔥. Are you smarter than a 3rd grader?! @MsKnox_
