Over the past couple years, I have come to know the #dotnet platform pretty well, from a developer's and a #reversing standpoint.
I can’t always say the same the #infosec community.
Today, I decided to rant a little (or maybe a lot 🙃)

After #flareon11 challenge 7, I got inspired to build tooling for #dotnet Native AOT reverse engineering.
As such, I built a #Ghidra Analyzer that can automatically recover most .NET types, methods and frozen objects (e.g., strings).

@GitHub In what world would I need an AI to view my pull requests?
It's 10x slower than this other button we've had since forever, which probably just does a database query (as it should!)
What an absolute waste of programming time, resources and compute power.
After many hours and days of struggling, I'm finally done with #flareon11! Thanks to the FLARE team for this set of occasionally painful and educational challenges. Definitely learned some new stuff this year!
Looking forward to next year!
#dnSpyEx 6.5.1-rc1 has been released. It's a minor update including some fixes and minor feature additions.
Check it out here:

I find this promotion odd
ByteHide (formerly DotNetSafer) makes promises that I find hard to believe w/ features as "military-grade obfuscation" and very misleading comparisons with their competitors..
Oh and apparently using their obfuscator makes your product GDPR compliant🧐
We've partnered with @byte_hide to help you protect your Avalonia apps. They've built a state-of-the-art obfuscation tool, which works flawlessly with Avalonia🔒

More information regarding the critical security concern resolved by dnSpyEx 6.4.1 is now available!
Big thanks to both Ellie and Washi for handling this so well :p
And of course, update your dnSpy installations if you haven’t already!
Earlier this month I found a way to consistently pop calculators in #dnSpy by opening a file and clicking some nodes in its browser.
Today I release a write-up on how this can be done:
