Why has Laura Kuenssberg repeatedly invited Palantir’s UK CEO, Louis Mosley, onto her programme? Not to ask him hard qs but as a political pundit? Well here’s a clue. Palantir UK’s head of comms was previously Theresa May’s chief spin doctor & then Sunak’s. 2/

I feel absolutely sick which means nothing...
Israel has passed the death penalty solely for Palestinians, enforced through military courts with a 96% conviction rate. Israeli Minister Ben Gvir popped champagne. The Israeli government is raising a toast to genocidal apartheid. The UK government is arming and funding it.

🚨BREAKING: Berkeley researchers spent 8 months inside a tech company watching how employees actually use AI. The promise was simple: AI will save you time. Do less. Work smarter. The opposite happened. Workers didn't use AI to finish early and go home. They used it to take on more. More tasks. More projects. More hours. Nobody asked them to. They did it to themselves. The researchers sat inside the company two days a week for 8 months. They watched 200 employees in real time. They tracked work channels. They conducted 40 interviews across engineering, product, design, and operations. Here's what they found. AI made everything feel faster, so people filled every gap. They sent prompts during lunch. Before meetings. Late at night. The natural stopping points in the workday disappeared. People ran multiple AI agents in the background while writing code, drafting documents, and sitting in meetings simultaneously. It felt like momentum. It felt productive. But when they stepped back, they described feeling stretched, busier, and completely unable to disconnect. 83% said AI increased their workload. Not decreased. Increased. 62% of associates and 61% of entry-level workers reported burnout. Only 38% of executives felt the same strain. The people doing the actual work absorbed the damage while leadership celebrated the productivity numbers. Then came the trap nobody saw coming. When one person uses AI to take on extra work, everyone else feels like they're falling behind. So the whole team speeds up. Nobody formally raises expectations. But the new pace quietly becomes the default. What AI made possible became what was expected. The researchers gave it a name: workload creep. It looks like productivity at first. Then it becomes the new baseline. Then it becomes burnout. AI was supposed to give you your time back. Instead it's eating more of it. And the worst part? You're doing it to yourself. Voluntarily.

Yesterday my wonderful friend Paul Conroy ⁦@reflextv⁩ died of a heart attack. After years taking pictures and reporting in some of the world’s most dangerous places, he was visiting family in Devon. All of us who knew and loved him are devastated. He was 61.

Palantir - a company which has supported ICE raids and enabled genocide in Gaza - should be nowhere near this country, let alone our NHS. Kick Palantir out.

NEW: Our investigation for @thenerve_news reveals not only that Peter Thiel’s Palantir is completely enmeshed in our critical national infrastructure. It’s also the ‘cloud support’ for our nuclear weapons system 1/

Totally agree.
Education is a public good. The cost should come from general taxation, not from decades of debt that most young people will never clear. #HigherEducation #PublicGood

So embarrassing. Immigration has fallen sharply and even Americans are openly shocked at how gullible the British public are. Cringe doesn’t even cover it. We urgently need a serious conversation about why small boat numbers are shoved down our throats every single day like it’s the only thing happening in the country. News services, especially publicly funded ones like the BBC, should never be agenda setters. They have a duty to licence payers to report facts, not amplify fear, not drip-feed panic, not distort reality through repetition. If people are angry, ask who keeps winding them up.

If Reform are pushing propaganda through your letterbox, don’t engage with it. Don’t argue with it. Don’t platform it. Return it to sender. Write REFUSED on the envelope and put it straight back in the postbox. Unopened. They pay for that. Every time. Bulk mail returns are charged back to the sender. It costs them money, processing time, admin, and data corrections. It gets logged. It tells them households are rejecting them outright. No debate. No rage clicks. No oxygen. If you want to go further, formally request removal from all mailing lists. Under data protection law they have to comply. That creates more work. More records. More friction. This isn’t harassment. This is refusal. They harass communities with lies, fear, and intimidation. You are simply declining their material and sending it back where it belongs. Quietly. Legally. Repeatedly. Let them pay for their own paper. Let them process their own rejection. Let the trail show people don’t want them. Refusal is powerful. Silence costs them more than shouting ever will. And watching their budgets bleed from returned mail while support drains away is far more satisfying than any gimmick. Some people suggest sending glitter and to make the parcel heavier and to send it back with writing on. I’m not responsible for that idea and I’m not endorsing it. What I am saying is simple. Return to sender. They pay every time. ✨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧💷☕️🫖
