had absolutely incredible time seeing Daisy Hildyard in conversation with @ellenwiles last night. Daisy has just won the @RSLiterature prize and I can’t wait to delve more into her work. Thanks to @TheLitPlatform Fest for such an incredible evening.

I’ve been thinking a lot about humans as animals & interconnectedness — Daisy Hildyard writes phenomenally about this in her novel Emergency @FitzcarraldoEds and I’m v excited to interview her tomo @explodingbakery #exeter as part of @TheLitPlatform fest @UniOfExeterHASS 📚🍷

In 2006, students from Xavier High School in NYC sent Kurt Vonnegut five letters asking the aging writer to visit their class. What he wrote back is one of the most inspiring things ever:

Hoot hoot! You should do all you can to snag a ticket to see the mighty @mrmikewozniak spinning the story of Zusa, adorned with cats, prawns, buttons, and cliffhangers ✨ Loved it @sohotheatre

My dad took me wild camping on Dartmoor when I was 8. I’ll never forget the exhilaration, the sense of being a tiny part of a wild and wonderful world, the importance of leaving no trace. I was hoping to take my 8 year old to do the same thing. #RightToRoam
We're disappointed with the result of the wild camping legal challenge. We'll consider our position before deciding if to appeal and also discuss with landowners. We maintain wild camping is key part of open-air recreation, a way to enjoy Dartmoor. bit.ly/2CSDHcP
