Yes! This would be great. I barely go out on my bike anymore as the city has gotten so much busier with vehicular traffic! Itโs terrifying.

I wish there was a โSuper Chillโ option for bikes on maps apps that took you through low stress streets. Most are designed for cars and only use main arteries. Is there already something like this out there that Iโm missing?

Before I start this thread, I want to make it super clear: I LOVE CAR-FREE JFK AND WANT IT TO BE CAR-FREE FOREVER.
But there are some challenges Iโve been noticing that are worth sharing. I hope we can address them as we continue to work on the space. @JFKPromenade

The deYoung delivery area is not safe. Yes, the space is shared, but in a park, pedestrians and cyclists still need to be privileged in areas shared with cars. A truck driver swung a turn really fast and yelled at me out the window earlier this week. No thx.

Donโt @ me for this one. Some parks and rec employees and Recology drive *fast* in the car-free area. Itโs terrifying. Iโm sure itโs super annoying, but cars, trucks, and other motorized vehicles need to crawl in the car-free area. Thatโs the whole point of @JFKPromenade.
