Having lost my beautiful mother this year, it has taken a lot to move forward with a broken heart. She defines the woman I want to be, the mother I want to be, the human being I want to be. I am blessed to call her mine.
In this year of acceptance I internalized:
♦️Love yourself as your mother loved you - she always saw the very best in you
♦️Make your red line the one where you are not loved the way you deserve to be loved
♦️Even when life is a string of tragedies, be your own light because life itself is a gift.
On days I don’t feel like going on, I tell myself how hurt her soul would be to see me give up.
On days I feel neglected, I remind myself how she had loved me.
On days I feel belittled, her voice tells me I am more than enough.
She shone from within in a life that wasn’t kind to her but not everybody could see that light. I now realize that it is a gift to be able to perceive true love. It teaches one to forgive easily, accept gracefully, love freely. Like her, I choose to embrace love. For me, she was, is and will always be love. She fills the fractures of my life with her love, even from the afterlife.
For those of you who also found your twin soul in your mom, hug her tight for as long as you can. Call her if you haven’t in a while. Make memories that will be the balm to your soul when she can no longer walk next to you.

I truly love the authenticity @RealGDT exudes just by being himself. Even in cinema there will be a separation between the classics and what will be defined as contemporary. Appreciation for the classics, like GDT movies, survives generations and will never go out of style.

You came as a summer series; please plan to stay a summer series and don’t get overly ambitious about extending into fall season with dragged out plots. Allow your productions to make immense international sales through a quality work.

Ciao ragazzi, quella che voglio raccontarvi è una follia. Una follia che mi ha portato ad essere al Madison Square Garden ad assistere ad una delle partite più incredibili della storia: gara 4 tra Knicks e Spurs.
Mi chiamo Fabio, sono di Bologna, e martedì sera ero a spasso con la mia ragazza. Sono da sempre un tifoso Knicks, e più passeggiavamo col nostro cane “Brooklyn” (siamo grandi amanti di New York), più aumentava la mia curiosità di controllare l’andamento dei prezzi folli del Madison…
Mi sono detto “Se riesco a trovarli in resell sotto i 4000 dollari, lo compro”.
Faccio una premessa: ho purtroppo avuto a che fare con un delicato problema di salute nella mia vita. Questo mi ha dato la possibilità di vedere il presente il futuro in modo diverso.
Passano le ore e trovo un biglietto a 3900 dollari.
Ho chiuso gli occhi, e l’ho comprato.
Non dico nulla alla mia ragazza.
Andiamo a casa e accendo il computer.
Trovo un volo da Roma.
Prima di dormire trovo il coraggio di dirglielo.
“Ho la sveglia tra quattro ore, vado a New York a vedere gara 4…”.
Gelo.
Poi mi abbraccia e mi dice “Goditela”.
Ed eccomi qui, testimone della più grande rimonta nella storia delle Finals, di un clima pazzesco, di una città che esplode di passione per il basket, di una due giorni che non dimenticherò mai.
Ho avuto un grave problema cardiaco 5 anni fa. Ho comprato la canotta di Hart, perché il suo nome mi ricorda quel cuore che è stato croce e delizia nella mia vita.
Salterò le vacanze, dovrò fare delle rinunce, ma sono felice di aver fatto questa follia.

Love is = in different forms
Diziland = constant suffering until last 30 sec, either ending in death or final union. Can drag out for 50 weeks
Hollywood = constant hookups/breakups in search of self-love. Could be 8 episodes to 200
Bollywood = Nowadays a blend between Hollywood & Diziland. Don’t forget to break out dancing when things get weird.
Lollywood = contrived misunderstandings until someone bends. One side is usually a saint. Getting dragged beyond the usual 22 weeks.
K-drama = saccharine sweet, uber cutesy, and performative, but at least done within 16 weeks.

#ÇağatayUlusoy is one of Turkey’s best for all the right reasons. He stood tall against all the vitriol, never compromised on his job, and delivered a memorable performance.
I will always hope he’ll come back better and stronger.

Reminding ourselves that Eşref’ll die, looking wistfully at Nisan, in fıstık’s arms. We think he willingly embraces death, to keep Nisan & their child safe. He started his life of crime to save Nisan, he’ll end it to save her again.

It is kind of @hughlaurie to provide any apology at all but the irony of this is that the whole backhanded exchange is so Dr. House coded! Loved it. Did not love how the journalist milked it for all it was worth, just like many of the other narcissists on the show.

I’m sorry if people have been having a go at you because of my tweet. Not at all the plan. I was very slightly drunk and already upset about something that had nothing to do with you. If it’s any comfort, I got it in the neck too. I’m a thin-skinned twat, apparently, even though it wasn’t my skin. I was sticking up for the writers who I adored. Obviously I shouldn’t have cited Bach/Kahlo/Moore - asking for trouble - and would have done better to go for the 10,000 blues songs written around the same 12 bar chord structure. I’ve listened to most of them and will keep doing so. Because we love what we love.

Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!

First world problem: in the past, when I lived like a slob and walking to the kitchen was my sole workout, I could tell if it was close to or over 50 lbs by how much I strained to pick up my suitcase. Now that I’m working out, the filter is way off and sure enough, was 4lb over!
