Really excited to share that
@ergodicgroup has just made a private investment in Burgschneider, one of the most respected names worldwide in historical clothing, reenactment gear, and the booming LARP scene.
What they do is pure craft, every stitch, every piece of armor, every prop is made with obsessive precision. They supply reenactors, festivals, and LARP communities on pretty much every continent. On top of that, they actually run some of the biggest and best events in the space, ConQuest, the Brandywine Festival, and the legendary Mythodea campaign, which is basically its own living fantasy world with thousands of players.
To me, LARP is one of the purest forms of worldbuilding we have today. People don’t just dress up, they create characters, rituals, symbols, and whole aesthetic languages that keep evolving year after year. It’s a real, living culture with its own rules and history.
That’s exactly why this feels like such a natural fit for us at Ergodic Group. We’ve always been about the loop between code, culture, craft, and math, and LARP sits right in the middle of that.
This deal is a big step toward what we’ve wanted to do for years: help build creative worlds that last, that live across games, stories, physical objects, and real communities.
Couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the Burgschneider team.
Thanks Markus and Jon for believing in this 🇩🇪🇺🇸🇦🇷.
