Last week in my hometown of Winnipeg, 2,000 union activists at #CLC2026 sent a clear message to Danielle Smith: Our health care is NOT for sale.
Public health care is one of the things that defines us as Canadians and we are ready to fight to protect it.
🚫 NO two-tier health care.
Activists at #CLC2026 stood united against Alberta’s push toward privatized, American-style health care and called on the federal government to uphold and enforce the Canada Health Act.
Health care is a human right.

He's terrible. I hope he remembers 2022 when his government thought it could bully education workers into a contract and was humbled by a united labour movement.
Minister Calandra says he doesn't want "a big, long, prolonged strike" during the upcoming round of bargaining.
