The quantity of code that devs ship has roughly 10xed. But net developer productivity (value created by unit of time) is only up by a bit, if at all. Part of it is that the additional code is solving more incremental problems. A bigger part is that the new code is creating problems of its own.

This is the reality of AI engineering that nobody shows in tutorials. PDF parsing alone can consume weeks of effort. The eval pipeline, infra work, and document processing are where the actual engineering hours go, not the prompt crafting.

Kampala and Kinshasa are strengthening their trade ties—some good news amid regional uncertainty. Starting this month, Air Congo #DRCongo @AirCongoFly will operate the Entebbe–Kinshasa route. Uganda’s exports to the DRC have already surpassed $1 billion, and a direct flight to Kinshasa—a city of 20 million people—opens new opportunities for Ugandan products such as milk, coffee, fish, fruits, vegetables, and bananas.
