There are a lot of questions at the moment about colour tokens and Figma soooo
I thought I'd thread some thoughts on it to create a healthy discussion in public 🧂
ALT A visualisation showing 3 stacked squares which have been skewed to look more like a diamond shape. At the top, there is a label of "base value". Underneath that is one labeled "token", and underneath that is one labeled "alias".
Alright, the token relationship!
The relationship goes like this:
1️⃣ Your base value (e.g. #ffffff for white)
2️⃣ Your base token (e.g. Mono/100)
3️⃣ Your token alias (e.g. Input/Fill)
ALT An illustration showing the base value, base token, and token alias relationship.
If you are working in health tech, this is a goldmine: free open source health icons. Haa, I wish this existed when I designed a portable ultrasound machine UI and had to create bladder icons healthicons.org/?utm_source=…
