Awesome to see the power of the @10xGenomics Cloud Analysis (10xgenomics.com/cloud) back end come together with the accessibility of LLMs. Shout out to @evanwinget and Hayder Casey and our partners at @AnthropicAI for making it happen. #singlecell #bioinformatics #ai #genomics
What if you could simply ask your analysis tools for answers? We’re collaborating with @AnthropicAI to make that happen, working to turn #singlecell & #spatial analysis into a natural conversation, not a coding lesson. Learn more > bit.ly/43nBv6l

Just invented a sandwich involving chicken tikka masala served between two slices of challah bread I call it: chicken tikka ma-challah 8/10 sandwich

Friendly reminder that if you want a mempool that more accurately reflects large mining pools: run a Libre Relay node from @peterktodd (and consider funding development geyser.fund/project/librerel…) If you are comfortable with missing some transactions that don’t conform to Core’s mempool policy and are OK if fee estimates aren’t perfect: keep running Core If you want optionality to filter out even more transactions from your mempool to influence miner policies (due to higher likelihood of a block becoming stale) at the cost of worst fee estimates in the near term: run Knots from @LukeDashjr Everyone has options and there’s no need for in-fighting. We’re all on the same team and we’re all weighing trade offs!

TIL that @bitkey allows you to RBF your transactions to increase transaction fees: support.bitkey.world/hc/en-u… Nice! Once they have inheritance rolled out (and dark mode 🌘) it’ll have a really powerful feature set that will check critical boxes for a large % of bitcoiners

If you’re going to buy a @bitkey wallet for Black Friday: 1. Purchase from Bestbuy using a gift card (ideally purchased with cash) 2. Pick up at store or ship to a PO box so that you’re not revealing your home address 3. Enjoy having better opsec than most Bitcoiners

Q: "Are you not happy that BTC is nearly $100K?" A: It's a nice validation of our success thus far, but no, I'm pretty numb to the exchange rate. 1. I felt we would have exceeded $100K in the last cycle if not for the shenanigans resulting from trusted third parties screwing over massive numbers of users. 2. My primary goal has never been personal wealth, but rather to empower individuals to operate safely outside the reach of trusted third parties. 3. I don't think we've made as much progress along that vector as we have made with the financial adoption of Bitcoin. 4. I expect that the cycle of trusted third parties violating the trust of users and causing them significant harm will continue for the forseeable future.

Great to see masonry houses going up
Masonry is done. Had some friends come up and help us finish it out before winter. Next week we are back at the shop and will start cutting out the timber frame roofs. I’m continually grateful for the opportunity to create such beautiful project with such lovely folks!

Bringing Bitcoin Back to SF
1/ As Bitcoin continues to grow, so does the pool of talented individuals contributing to critical codebases. However, full-time employment opportunities for these individuals remain limited.

Rural America is under appreciated
A lovely blessing to be able to drive to work in such a landscape.

It’s also disrespectful to try to identify someone (or a group) who dedicated years to open source development and expressed a clear desire to remain pseudonymous
If I see someone talk about who might be satoshi, I lose all respect instantly. Ignore whether we should or shouldn’t, accusing someone of being satoshi puts them at very real physical risk. There’s plenty of people who want to kidnap satoshi seeking some bitcoin. Don’t do it.

Instead of woodpeckers, we should call them hammerhead birds

Would be interesting to see this chart in real terms (inflation adjusted) rather than nominal

Least favorite change to X since going private: any time you touch anywhere in an ad on mobile (e.g. when attempting to scroll the feed) it acts as a tap/click. Advertisers are getting charged for ad engagement that users immediately close out and it’s bad UX for users…

1/n I'm really proud of this report on bitcoin ownership. Our survey of 3,538 adults in the US found bitcoin ownership: -covers the full spectrum of political identity -is skewed young and male -correlates weakly with a unique profile of moral values -correlates strongly with knowledge of bitcoin 🧵
