We awarded teachers the highest pay rise in 30 years, and we've already met the unions’ request for an additional £2bn in school funding, which will take real terms spending on schools to its highest level in history.

Teaching Unions don’t move to strike often.
It’s a last resort, a clear indicator change is needed.
Whether you are @NEUnion @NASUWT @NAHTnews, if ballot papers come, consider it and do what you think is right.
What you choose is up to you, but at least give it consideration.

I founded @CEITeaching yesterday lunchtime and it now has over 125 members and over 2,000 followers.
I want to be totally transparent about how it came about and show that teachers getting involved in education policy is vitally important for a functioning democracy.

There was a brief window about ten years ago where, as a classroom teacher, you were only ever a couple of blogs away from having your views on education launched as govt policy.
People still disagree about whether this was a good thing.
