#718 / 2.7M for #F1Fantasy 2025 βœ… This is our 4th consecutive top 1000 finish. It’s no secret that luck plays a big part in any fantasy sport, but hopefully these results can convince you that - with the right tools - skill can play an even bigger part! πŸ’ͺ Let's reflect πŸ‘‡πŸ§΅

We just got 5 different Post-FP3 sims from rhter to give you a sim for all the possible ways #F1Fantasy might deal with the late point changes from Monaco. A. 0.0mil, old points (pessimistic default) B. 0.8mil, old points C. 0.0mil, new points D. 0.8mil, new points (optimistic) E. 0.4mil, half new points The 0.0, 0.8 or 0.4M is the potential extra budget for GAS in Spain (should actually be for those that had him in Monaco, but might be fixed by giving him an extra price increase for Spain. Old points are if the price changes are calculated based on the old Monaco points (currently live in the game) New points are the price changes if they first correct the Monaco points before calculating the price changes for Spain. Option E hedges all the options into one average. We honestly don't know what will happen, so we're giving you all the data to decide for yourself. Good luck everyone! 🀞

We don't know yet how the price changes in #F1Fantasy will be calculated for the Spain GP: - will it be based on the points that are currently live in the game (GAS P7)? - or will it be based on the points after the changes (GAS P3)? We now have the Required Points for both scenarios up in the Budget Builder. Link below πŸ”—πŸ‘‡

And for the possibility of GAS increasing in price by an extra 0.8M in Spain to fix those Monaco point changes, Rhter included a sim for that scenario ( 0.8M), but also a 0.4M option to give it a 50% chance of happening. That way you can better weigh your decision based on what you think will happen and what odds you give each option.

Update πŸ‘‡ This could mean one of two things for budgets in #F1Fantasy (if GAS keeps the P3): - Those that had GAS in their teams for Monaco get 0.8M extra budget after Spain. - GAS' price increases an extra 0.8M after Spain meaning extra budget increases for those that run him in Spain. The first option is the objectively correct one, but we've seen in the past that that doesn't always matter. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Here are the potential implications for #F1Fantasy πŸ‘‡ If they apply this change to the game, some points would obviously change, but GAS would also go from a -0.6M to a 0.2M budget change. This would require a budget recalculation for all teams and a reset of all transfers made so far for the Spanish GP. Since we're only 25 hours away from the deadline, we're unsure if they would still want to do that. This scenario has not happened before so close to a deadline. Since this might not even be the end of the story (other teams might appeal the GAS decision), more changes could be coming after the deadline (a reversal of the new GAS changes). Those budget change reversals would be impossible to rectify perfectly since it would already have affected teams for the Spanish GP. So what are the possible scenario's? 1. They fix it for GAS and reset everyones transfers before the deadline. They should do this as fast as possible. Any potential changes to the classification after tomorrow's deadline need to be dealt with separately. 2. They only fix the points and ignore budget changes. This can be done without resetting transfers, but leaves GAS owners with 0.8M less than they deserve in Spain. 3. They fix the points and budgets after the Spanish GP. This leaves GAS owners 0.8M short in Spain if the GAS decision holds, but they are at least made whole for races afterwards. 4. They ignore all of it and argue that their scores and budgets are correct based on the 'final' classification document issued after the race. Our two cents: if they react quickly, we prefer option 1 with a 24 hour buffer to the deadline. But most importantly, whatever they end up choosing, we want them to include it in the rules so there's clarity for the players. Edit: no other teams can get their penalties overturned because they didn't file a right of review within the first 96 hours, but this GAS decision can still be appealed by other teams.

HUL is now correctly priced at 3.2M in #F1Fantasy! βœ… And since he now sits at 0.2M from the (now hopefully correctly implemented) price floor, he's looking like a great option for those that want to free up some budget without being afraid of 0.6M price falls.
Here we go! πŸ™Œ Expect HUL to become 3.2M, and all transfers for Spain to be reset.

The incorrect price floor saga continues! πŸ™ƒ HUL should have received a -0.6M budget change, but got a -0.3M instead. Since -0.3M isn't even one of the options for B-tier assets, we can only conclude that the minimum price is still not set to the correct value. Last time it was 4.5M. This time it's 3.5M. But according to the #F1Fantasy rules it should be 3M. Seems like they somehow managed to change an incorrect number into a different incorrect number. Incredible stuff.

Right on the money! 🎯 (pun intended) We're not sure what points they recalculated, but BOT's price has now correctly dropped to 4.1M

Rhter just released a new #F1Fantasy sim ("Canada. Post-SQ. v3") that simulates pit starts for BEA, GAS, ALB and BOT (and not for LAW). Reminder that transfers (and therefor transfer penalties) only lock in at the deadline. So you can still make changes if you want to!
Pierre Gasly, Alexander Albon and Ollie Bearman will start from the pit lane in the sprint race

A Post-SQ #F1Fantasy simulation, that takes into account the data from FP1 and the Sprint Qualifying, is live in the Team Calculator! πŸŽ‰ MER looks strong and FER is still cheap, so the meta is pretty clearly on MER FER ANT. The bigger decisions will lie in what backmarkers to take to avoid budget losses after the Miami carnage. Lots of players have BEA and HUL, which are both as good as guaranteed to get a -0.6M. But who to transfer to? ALB? PER? Or - and we can't believe we're saying this before R5 but - ALO? πŸ€” Deadline is in 5 hours, good luck!

The official #F1Fantasy points for the #MiamiGP are finally in! And it looks like budget building will be a challenge next race 😬 Would you consider ALO, PER or BOT for Canada?
