🥳 It took 3 (!) years & 3 rounds of review by 3 (meticulous & insightful) reviewers, but our paper (w/ @vmurphyox @OxfordDeptofEd) on subject realisation & crosslinguistic transfer in Greek preschool learners of English is now published online in SLR: journals.sagepub.com/doi/ful… 🔓

Everyone should know what’s happening in Greece right now. We are suffocating—we need justice for the lives lost in Tempi. Tomorrow, Greeks all over the world will stand as one. #JusticeForTempi #TempiCrime

It’s heartbreaking to see families served with eviction notices before Christmas. Nobody should face this alone. At @DuncanLewis, we are here to help provide legal advice. @BBCNews @LewishamCouncil @RentersUnion @Shelter @guardian #housing #legalaid

Israel & its proxies are creating the blueprint for the 21st Century by bulldozing the boundaries of acceptable state behavior. If systematic torture, summary executions, massacres, murder of children, doctors, journalists, humanitarians & all civilians are acceptable, if international law is no longer in effect, if apartheid & genocide are now ok, we are all in trouble. (And Israeli proxies are also eroding free speech & human rights across the West). 193 governments are watching. Don’t kid yourself. You could be next. Isolate the Israeli regime. Arrest its leaders. Deploy a protection force. Stop it here & now.

This is the most hideous footage imaginable. It is reminiscent of the worst atrocities committed in human history. You might not want to watch this - nobody normal does. But you have to know this shows the mass slaughter of kids, women, men. Nobody can say they didn’t know.

For the past year, millions of us around the world have made repeated, desperate calls for a ceasefire. We demanded an end to the genocide. We warned of a disastrous regional conflict. We were ignored. Governments have fuelled the machinery of war. Their indifference to human life has destroyed prospects for peace and endangered us all. All of this violence was entirely avoidable. Without urgent de-escalation, more unimaginable horror is on the horizon. It’s time to listen to the voices of ordinary people across the globe calling for peace. That means ending the root cause of this appalling cycle of violence: the occupation of Palestine.

Over the past year calls for de-escalation & warnings of regional war were ignored. Governments, like the UK & US, enabled Israel to act with impunity so it can “reshape the region”. All measures, including a full arms embargo, need to be pursued to de-escalate & protect lives.

The world could have stopped the genocide in Gaza. Instead, our political leaders allowed Israel to act with total impunity. That is why they are now murdering hundreds of civilians in Lebanon, putting millions more lives across the region at risk. When will our government wake up to the horrors they have normalised? When will they call out this reckless aggression? Or do Arab lives not matter? We need a full arms embargo to Israel and economic sanctions, now. Our common humanity demands nothing less.
