Please join us for a Service of Commemoration for her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, at the Royal Garrison Church of All Saints, Aldershot, from 4pm to 5pm tomorrow. Full details: rushmoor.gov.uk/serviceofcom…
If you’d like to sign one of our books of condolence for The Queen, they are located at the Council Offices in Farnborough, or the Princes Hall in Aldershot.
They are available to sign from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.
As a mark of respect, because of yesterday’s sad news, we have postponed a number of events, including Aldershot's Princes Gardens bandstand concert tomorrow and our heritage festival events.
We have also cancelled Sunday's car boot sale in Farnborough.
The Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor John Marsh, has expressed deep sadness on behalf of the council, and the people of Rushmoor, on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
We have now confirmed the opening of Books of Condolences at both the Council Offices in Farnborough, and the Princes Hall in Aldershot, which can be signed by members of the public from 1pm today, and where people can also now lay flowers in tribute.
