Tell me you don't watch soccer without telling me you don't watch soccer. The US doesn't lose because of a lack of 'best athletes'; the current US Men's National Team is packed with incredible, world-class athletes playing in the top leagues in Europe (English Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga).
The US struggles at the highest level because of a pay-to-play youth system that prices out talent, a lack of deep footballing culture, and a deficit in tactical development compared to Europe and South America. Itโs an infrastructure problem, not a genetic one. Believing LeBron James would magically win a World Cup if he just picked up a soccer ball is pure fantasy.
