MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶 come on down, to epochtown 🎶 Announcing epochtown (pronounced ee-pak not ep-uck) a community for Solana builders, devs, artists, entrepreneurs and anyone else interested in building the future on Solana As someone new to Solana it is sometimes hard to find like minded people to learn from, collaborate with and build with. Epochtown aims to change that, all newbies are welcome and no questions are too dumb to ask If you’re just getting started, trying to find your way around, or want to find someone to collaborate with on the next hackathon, or maybe you’re building and have questions come on down! Discord link in next tweet below Huge huge huge thanks to @adlonymous for the discord magic, @jacobvcreech @nickfrosty for the motivation, @dhruvsol for the cute designs and @beeman_nl @metasal @0xnaga @SolDapper for being the OG fire starters :)

Solana's read layer 2.0 is now open source: Superbank (history) and Cloudbreak (accounts), marking the end of vendor lock-in for chain access. Querying @solana should feel like calling a real database, so we built exactly that. 🟣Lightning-fast account reads with dynamic indexes from your query patterns 🟣Your own queryable copy of Solana history, with no indexing logic to write 🟣More performant than Agave, while running on commodity hardware Fork it, run it, improve it. It's yours 🌊🧵x.com/solana_devs/status/206…

Introducing the Solana RPC Working Group Its mission is to advance Solana's open-source RPC stack, making the read layer more accessible for all. Built in the open by @triton_one, @Helius, @JupiterExchange, @anza_xyz, and @SolanaFndn 🧵

awesome. next step: play poker on-chain with the wsop deployed program.
Jun 10
The play is never the move. It's the mind behind it. The World Series of Poker. Now dealt by Solana.

hyperliquids "fast" is now a feature. just trade on solana. fast is default.
Free speed is over 🚫⚡️ Hyperliquid’s next upgrade tightens public websocket feeds: allMids every 5s, asset ctxs every 15s, normal l2Book 20 levels every 5s If you want fast books, you now use l2Book fast:true for 5 levels every 0.5s, then merge that with the deeper book yourself. That is not “bad API design” That is what happens when the chain gets real volume and free public infra stops being the product @hydromancerxyz is already positioning around per-block feeds, I get why If you can't afford your own node, use one of the available api providers in the space For hip4, this is exactly why I’ve been node-primary from the start If your app makes markets feel stale, users don’t blame the websocket They blame you

incredible commitment, crazy work. huge for solana.
it was an eventful weekend, and solana now broadcast nearly twice as many shreds on XDP than on the legacy slower code and we retransmit nearly half on XDP BIG IBRL week

new pumpfun/pumpswap footgun: add any pubkey(eg big trader) as a remaining account and the tx can appear in that addresss history (getSignatureForAddress) gRPC account_include streams, even if untouched. solana tx history tracks mentioned account keys, not state changes. why it matters: if your bot/explorer/indexer treats "tx mentions this wallet" as "this wallet interacted with the token", it can be spoofed. verify signer/user token balance deltas, not just account inclusion.

Most Solana teams optimize RPC. We decided to remove it. At @brewlabshq_ , our latency requirements pushed us beyond Yellowstone and toward consuming validator data directly from the source. Today we're open-sourcing part of that work: Qlaster — Shared-Memory Data Streaming for Colocated Solana Services.🧵

open sourced a draft we were exploring: onchain trading agents for solana. the idea: users define private execution filters, such as oracle-price conditions for perps. a registered cranker can execute the trade instruction only when the agent is active, oracle data is fresh, the proof matches the committed filters and all protocol accounts validate. current draft: authorized crankers. possible next step: public filters/indicators/cranking, where users set a fee and anyone can execute through gated conditions.

my sisters and brothers of christ. why are we going backwards in testnet xdp adoption? look at this chart. down is good. down is fast. down means more CUs. down means we're goated. down means we're rad as hell. just turn it on and we win forever.
omg retransmit time continues to tank. we are "tanking for Tua" and by Tua i mean 100M CUs. (this is where the metaphor ends. do not look into this any more than surface level please - definitely do not look at Tua career stats and injuries. 100M CUs is completely different)

Wow. From 113gb down to 80gb Amazing tek
IT WORKS!! Thank you to whoever shared this 1. Turn on airplane mode 2. Change the date manually to 2027 3. Leave your phone for 2 minutes and don’t open any other apps 4. Change the date back to today (put real time & date) 5. Off Airplane mode then check your storage again
Community note
Important Context: Changing the time / date on iOS poses a high risk of triggering iMessage retention policies, potentially resulting in unintended deletion of iMessage conversation history. Users can refer to the section titled “Automatically Delete old Messages” support.apple.com/guide/iphone/d…
