Asking Google Slides AI to create INDEX MATCH formula: 5 minutes later, not working, stuck in loop
Asking Claude to create same formula *only describing* the data in each column: 30 seconds later, working
Gemini 🤦🤦🤦

Tech slop rant. If I worked at Google, I'd be embarrassed by how siloed and disconnected Gemini is from G Suite. Like I'd be ashamed to tell people I'm the person who works on the Gemini<>G Suite team.
I have repeatedly tried to use Gemini to calendar events and invite other people. While Gemini has made advances and now will properly calendar the events, it simply will not invite the requested people.
It will lie to you and tell you it has! But it will not do it.
This basically makes the function worthless. When I put something on my calendar, it's because I need to share that event with someone else! If I'm bulk adding events, I don't want to have to then go into each event and add my attendees. I just want it done.
Did @OpenAI turn on "reddit reviewer friend" mode? Starting today my responses are all full of emojis, profanities, and just informal writing generally. (Cleaning out basement and told ChatGPT I will give it model names and I want to know what it is and if it's still relevant)
Fun exercise for those in fintech... Try and change your name with a trad bank. Eg @Chase
- credit card uses form thats mailed and sent back via mail/app "secure messages"
- checking account can be done in branch
- brokerage has form available online, sent back via mail/app
And Chase is arguably better at tech than most other traditional banks, yet the customer experience feels like I'm dealing with 3 different companies 🤷🤷
Always amazed at the state of security in banking. Todays reminders:
1) @BankofAmerica called to confirm a wire transfer. Then asked me to give them the 2fa code from a text message they just sent me (which literally says DO NOT share). Have they never heard of spoofed calls?
2) @Plaid does not work with @etrade if you've enabled 2fa. So your options are to just not connect the account or lower your security. Scared to think about how many folks choose the latter...
Today, @nubank$nu announces that we have surpassed 100 *million* customers international.nubank.com.br/…
And from our last earnings statement we shared that 83% are monthly actives.
Onwards to 200 million!
Totally inexcusable to have a process that relies on your agents sending a customer a 2fa and then asking the customer to repeat the code.
Yet this seems common. @BofA_Help, for example. Text even says "DO NOT share this Sign In code. We will NEVER call you or text you for it."
This will change every finance professional's career in the next 24 months.
For every AI model, there are imperfections. But, this is just a tool to do your job better.
Retweet and follow for access ahead of launch. Trying my best to get you it before Thursday if we can. 💪
You’re wrong here, unfortunately. Not only has it been done many, many times before but those of us who have been down the path will never do it again. And you won’t find any exceptions. It’s devastating.

Was this before or after they decided to start charging subscription fees to continue using remote start, heated seats, etc? 🤔 🤦
