Why are all the free market , CEO god king techno capital worshipers all so scared of musk supporting UBI? He is your CEO king , your sovereign , he issued a decree in the hierarchy your role is to follow like a dog and not question his rule and command. Unless of course all of that shit was an excuse to be performative cruelty to the poor and just to pump your ego . And it is funny watching Yarvinites arrive here, because this is exactly the contradiction in the whole project endless talk about the “Cathedral”, rights, and the social contract being myths, only to end up defending rule by a single sovereign will and yet when shown what one such sovereign may desire as policy they recoil in disgust. You wish the right to dissent after arguing no one should have it. Funny.

Two days ago the US banned Claude Fable 5. Yesterday China dropped GLM 5.2. Today GLM 5.2 is #1 on @bridgebench BS at 100.0, and #1 on Reasoning at 42.8, beating Fable 5. At 1/10th the cost and 300 tokens per second. You cannot export control your way out of an open source race. The ban didn't slow China down. Unban Fable 5.

It’s the same shit; people believing that unprompted cruelty and malice towards others was what made you intelligent. “Silly Timmy, your dead dad’s not in heaven, he doesn’t exist anymore” just turned into “Silly Timmy, your dead dad’s not in heaven, he’s burning in hell!”

This is just dumb . I get my blood work done and care about my health . But if i am going to die young it will be from sone research compound i took that gave me turbo cancer z

The specific mechanism is that women are socialized to worry about both their own and others' health, while men are trained to pooh-pooh health concerns and rely on their wives to put them on diets and get their lumps checked out. This works out OK for everyone except single men

Women largely live longer due to lower suicide rates . I am not joking for single men what knocks life expectancy down is suicide and drug over doses because men are more socially isolated. But yeah lets try to turn this into a sociological dunking contest

Note if women were healthier they would not have higher obesity rates then men.

The actual baller move right now would be for OpenAI to release GPT-5.6 or 6.0 or whatever their next one is, and then immediately open source the weights for GPT-5.5. Given how well gpt-oss-120b still performs at midlevel tasks, the OSS version of 5.5 would crush every current open Chinese model and be a total PR win against Anthropic. (In boxing, what you do is wait for the opponent to step back and when their weight is retreating, that’s when you strike. You don’t strike when they’re coming at you)
OpenAI is considering drastic price cuts as it seeks to win over customers from archrival Anthropic on.wsj.com/4aldd0k

I do not care. Release the Epstein Files and arrest the pedophiles in it.
Whistleblower David Grusch and a bipartisan group of congressional lawmakers gathered at the Capitol, where he said that the US government is actively aware of several distinct types of alien life that range from "corporeal, bipedal-type life" to "sentient, plasmoid life"

This will go down as the greatest irony in the age of AI. Not one of these employees said anything in our defense, except to be condescending, when we couldn’t even say “cancer” to Fable 5, considering us a biosecurity risk. Maybe they regret it now & I still feel sorry for them.
JUST IN: Anthropic says a “huge percentage” of its own employees are now barred from accessing Fable 5 & Mythos 5 under U.S. restrictions.

Didn't even take two months for OSS to catch up to SOTA. You love to see it!

Notably, the budget panel was comparable with Claude Fable 5 in performance. A panel of Gemini 3 Flash, Kimi K2.6, and DeepSeek V4 Pro, fused together, beat solo GPT-5.5 and solo Opus 4.8 outright. And it landed within 1% of Fable 5 while costing roughly half the price.

Me watching Chinese open source push after anthropic’s fable got shot down tells me they are likely moving in for the next generation of ai after this to surpass western models in spec. First draw attention, then build resources using your gained attention and your opponents fumble to gain legitimacy . Then you out perform them.

A good business model should not turn your heaviest users into a source of loss. This is exactly why I have always believed that a “coding plan” (usage‑based pricing) is a terrible business. Think of a gym that only makes money because people buy memberships and then never show up. That’s a broken logic. A sound business model should ensure that your most core, highest‑volume users generate the largest profit – not the other way around. #BusinessModel #StartupTruth #UsageBasedPricing #BadEconomics

GLM-5.2 is Fully Open, Frontier Intelligence Belongs to Everyone Today, the sudden restriction of certain frontier models is deeply regrettable. At a time when access to frontier models is abruptly cut off for non-technical reasons, we are even more convinced of one thing: science should be global. The path to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) must never be enclosed by high walls. We have always believed that AGI should be the cornerstone for all of humanity to collaboratively explore the boundaries of intelligence and solve complex challenges, rather than a privilege monopolized by a few rules and subject to revocation at any moment. In the face of external blockades and restrictions, our attitude is one of radical openness. Frontier intelligence must remain open-source, accessible, and buildable, serving every dedicated developer. GLM-5.2 is Zhipu's most capable open-source model to date. It not only supports a truly usable 1M context window but also maintains a continuous lead in the independent completion of long-horizon tasks, providing solid foundational support for building complex agent applications. It also continues to be our main engine for creating the strongest domestic coding model. Tonight at 5:21—at this special moment—GLM-5.2 will officially be available to all GLM Coding Plan users (including Lite / Pro / Max). The API will also go live next week. A step closer to frontier intelligence for everyone. The future of AI is open, and it is for the people. ModelKey: GLM-5.2

The more we learn of Rome, the more we understand that Disney's Hercules was actually realistic (that the modern/post-modern era has more in common with the classical people, sociologically, than we previously thought)
is it more embarrassing to *survive*, or to be *killed* by an ancient sling bullet that reads "get pregnant with this"
