Join @andykingraising and @tomdefraine as we hash out the biggest problems in the fundraising sector - from racist recruitment practices to donor power dynamics
But we know that these conversations cannot happen slap-dash. They need to be had well, had considerately, and lead to practical change. And one of the most important issues we've yet to address is fundraiser burnout. And the truth is, we're both incredibly tired. [3/4]
Have you made a complaint to the @ChtyCommission? Would you be willing to speak about your experience (anonymously, with a voice modulator if necessary)? Our DMs are open and we'd love to hear from you.
We've changed our format slightly to deep dive into the big questions facing fundraisers. Our first episode: how do I complain to the @ChtyCommission and will anything change if I do?
Over the moon to see this partnership go live. Together @OfficialFV and @TheSleepCharity are ensuring the 40% of UK adults with sleeping difficulties have someone to turn to. What a result: furniturevillage.co.uk/sleepβ¦
Charity bods at all levels: Do you mainly consider yourself as part of a cause, or part of an org? Genuine question to inform something Iβm writing. Thanks x
In light of further communication that is landing with members, survivors and complainants ONLY on twitter and no other platform, I ask this question again @clairerowney and @CIOFtweets
Who is in control of the investigation?
Who does know what is going on?
Who is accountable?
Claire, please can you confirm who is actually in control of this investigation? Many of us have / had high hopes of you getting a grip of it. If you donβt know whatβs going on, who does and who is accountable?

THREAD: The core focus of our podcast is what we, as a sector, can do better. We've talked about everything from racist recruitment practices to donor power dynamics, but the truth is there's a lot of work to do, and a lot more noise needs to be made on certain issues. [1/4]

We can't address burnout when we are both on the verge of it ourselves. So we're taking a break for a while, so when we do turn our microphones back on, we can make it matter. We fundamentally believe the sector can improve. We look forward to making it happen with you. [4/4]
