One of the most dystopian things I’ve ever seen.
July 25, 2020 Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand: "We will continue to be your single source of truth. ... Unless you hear it from us it is not the truth." What do you think Western countries would be like if our governments became our "single source of truth"?

Now imagine the logical conclusion of the UK censorship ban. They now have everyone identified. They have your ID, passport, credit cards, eyeball scans, fingerprints, blood, umbilical cord, hair, and you want to speak out against this disgusting crime against humanity but it goes against their protected people. You make a post online. You want to know why the hell this is allowed. Within an hour someone shows up at your door. You’re now in jail. This creates a chilling effect. Now people are afraid to speak. It’s not worth it. They have no outlet. There is no freedom of speech. So they swallow their anger and accept their fate and allow the humiliation while they lose their society.

I’m sick of reading stock astrology. It’s time to get back to launching the rockets, putting internet in the sky, and projecting free speech down on the world.

The funny side effect of this will be all sub 16 year olds will hang out on 4chan because it's the only social media website that's a accountless
We are banning social media access for under 16s. These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life. I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back.
Community note
The UK Government's 'careful review' of the research found a small correlation between children's use of social media and wellbeing, but no evidence of a causal effect: gov.uk/government/pub… assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/696e0b46…

They don’t care about kids. They just want to force you to tie your passport to your social media so that they can arrest you for mean tweets.

This is the point. Same will happen in all countries that will make social media age restrictions. “Won’t someone think of the children” is usually not about the children

Lmao. And there’s the plan. Right there. Laid bare in your face. Create the problem (stranger danger), sell the solution (more authoritative surveillance state), repeat forever. Everyone owes conspiracy theorists an apology who have been screaming about this for years.

It’s important to know that the social media ban for under 16s is not a ban for under 16s. It is a ban on *selected* social media for EVERYONE. Until you identify yourself.

SpaceX raised only $12B of capital before going public. With that $12B, they revolutionized the rocket industry, built a global satellite network, and created arguably the most innovative company of all time. The federal government spends $12B every 15 hours and still can’t get its shit together. Prior to SpaceX, NASA was sending astronauts into space on Soviet-era Russian Soyuz capsules. So no, I don’t find Elon’s wealth to be a problem, and I wouldn’t trust Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders to allocate a single dollar of it.

No, Elon Musk doesn't suddenly have a trillion dollars. Elon Musk, today, has what he had yesterday. Today, other people decided that what Elon Musk had yesterday is worth $1 trillion. The idea that anyone should have to pay more in taxes based upon what others value their assets as is absurd.

I couldn’t care less about what career politicians like AOC and Bernie think about Elon becoming a trillionaire. My life is worse because of career politicians and better because of Elon Musk’s products. My Tesla doesn’t need oil changes, I can charge at my house. I’ve saved tons of money owning a Tesla. It’s fun to drive. When my home in Wyoming was being built, internet lines weren’t an option. Starlink saved the day and now I have perfect internet in the mountains. So for any journalist or politician complaining he’s now a trillionaire, I kindly tell you to piss off.

Today’s flood of Western media hit pieces and ridiculous commentary on Elon and SpaceX is yet another sign that the West is rotting from the inside. EVEN the Chinese Communists treat their national champions with more respect than these pathetic hacks. The CCP and its state mouthpieces aren’t half as deranged with envy. They may leash guys like Jack Ma and slap them down hard when they step out of line, but at least they’re smart enough to understand that they need their best talent and innovators to deliver prosperity for their people, dominate global markets, project raw power across the planet, and forge their nation into a ruthless superpower. The Chinese see them as vital strategic national assets and would never publicly insult or attack the ambitious, high-achieving mindset that creates these winners in the first place. SpaceX is, without a doubt, America’s national champion. Elon built the first reusable orbital rockets (Falcon 9), slashed launch costs, launched more missions in a single year than entire nations, revived American space dominance, sent NASA astronauts to the ISS aboard Crew Dragon, built the Starlink constellation that now beams high-speed internet to millions across the globe (including battlefields and disaster zones), and is developing Starship - the most powerful fully reusable rocket ever built, designed to make humanity an inter-planetary species. Yet the Western press and Democratic officials are almost unanimously attacking the one man going above and beyond to secure prosperity, technological supremacy, and raw national strength for our civilization. These people are vile soul-sucking wreckers who despise all excellence. The only thing they can produce is endless grievance and failure. All they know to do is tear down the successful, insult greatness, and wallow in their own mediocrity.
