The park consisted of three sections: the first section was dedicated to martyrs' portraits, the second to the martyrs' cemetery/memorial, and the third to a garden named after the children of martyrs. However, the section containing the martyrs' portraits has now been designated as a military area, and visits by the public are prohibited. Shehba FM Radio, which began its official broadcasts on June 1, 2023, was one of the main media centers in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. It broadcast programs and news in Kurdish and Arabic, with the aim of being the voice of the people of Shehba, Afrin, and Aleppo. However, following the events and clashes in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh at the beginning of 2026, the radio building is now being used for military purposes. According to the information obtained, Shehba Radio broadcasts were stopped after the war, and the building, which was previously used as a media center, is now operating as a military center. The Afrin Civil Association warns that settlers are still occupying homes and businesses in Afrin, preventing returnees from reclaiming their property. They call on the STG and DAANES to address this issue as they implement the January 29th agreement.
