Very late to the party but Susanna Clarke's Piranesi is hands down one of the best books I've ever read. Very hard to talk about without impacting on the reading experience, as discovery is a major joy in the book.

The misconception that there is no sound in space originates because most space is a ~vacuum, providing no way for sound waves to travel. A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we've picked up actual sound. Here it's amplified, and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!

None of the advice being offered by @metpoliceuk would have helped Sarah Everard. Wayne Couzens was a genuine police officer, carrying out a legitimate (in a sense) arrest. Encouraging women to challenge the police is a bizarre solution that will likely further endanger us.
