The paperwork took a while but it's finally formal - I am now a tenured senior researcher @INAB_Institute! This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing people that I'm working with, or the support of my family. So, my heartfelt thanks go to them first and foremost.🙏✨🤓

PUBMED is down. disaster !! We don’t have the organization to replace it. (EuroPMC is great but not a replacement) It is crystal clear that we cannot depend on critical systems from a single provider. European reaction has to include science and science infrastructures.

Following the launch of the #EOSCEUNode, today’s session “Deep dive into the EOSC EU Node” featured insights from experts like Spyros Athanasiou @athenaRICinfo , Dr. Sandra Diaz Pier, Angeliki Adamaki, and Ivan Janmaat. They shared real-world use cases, from enhancing #neuroscience with HPC to optimizing #research in multi-hazard environments, and discussed the Node's potential for boosting scientific #collaboration. The session wrapped up with a lively Q&A. Enjoy some highlights! #EOSC #EOSCSymposium24 #ResearchCollaboration #Innovation

Last day of the @eoscassociation #eoscsymposium2024, with a focus on FAIR data and #AI. A gap was identified: ensuring clear provenance between models and the underlying data. A solution could be community-led standards for ML reporting, eg the @ELIXIREurope DOME recommendations.

Worth noting though that trustworthy AI requires equal care on all involved components of the process, and not only on the data and compute aspects. High quality software has a clear impact towards building a ML model - and I am happy that @eosc_everse specifically targets this.

Really happy to see the aspects of quality, community driven vision, and need for reward and recognition for research #software to be raised by @moraneottilia at @eoscassociation #eoscsymposium2024! And thrilled that @eosc_everse is attempting to directly tackle those. 🤓
