Welcome to Biden's Dream House, where the American dream just got significantly more expensive... Join us on a tour and see the green "upgrades" that the Biden Administration wants to bring (by mandate) to a home near you, very soon.

Another reminder that consumers don’t need climate activists picking their cars. EV forecasts are sinking, automakers are pulling back, and billions in losses are piling up. When mandates and subsidies disappear, consumer preferences become clear.

NEW from @MattLamb22: New York Democrats are pushing a radical “climate disaster” bill that could let activists sue over everything from floods to wind damage in order to unlock their policy dreams.

As O.H. Skinner put it: “The ultimate goal of this woke lawfare is to work with woke trial lawyers and activists to bankrupt energy companies and enact a left-wing national energy policy by judicial fiat, all while everyday consumers pay the price.”

Exactly right, @RepHageman. Climate lawsuits are regulation by litigation to impose the green agenda voters rejected, and drive up costs for consumers. Families shouldn’t pay the price for woke lawfare.
The left failed to regulate energy producers out of business, so now they are suing them into bankruptcy. My Stop Climate Shakedowns Act puts an end to blue states using courts to kill American energy.

Woke lawfare 101: lose at the ballot box, then run to court and try to bankrupt your opponents into silence. Boulder is targeting energy companies today, but this legal theory would set a dangerous precedent. If activists can legislate by lawsuit, anyone else who ends up on the wrong side of the left’s approved narrative could be next.

As @GSchaerr put it: “If courts allow lawsuits to become weapons against those who challenge prevailing assumptions on contested scientific and policy questions, many people with far fewer resources than an oil company will simply shut up.”

Woke lawfare strikes again. President Trump is trying to expand American energy exports, support jobs, and strengthen U.S. energy dominance. Climate activists and trial lawyers see something else: another target for a lawsuit to get their preferred policy outcome. Consumers pay the price when energy policy is hijacked by activist lawyers.

Boulder’s climate lawsuit is woke lawfare in its purest form: climate activists trying to impose their green agenda on the rest of the country through the courts. Consumers don’t need activist trial lawyers setting national energy policy. They need affordable, reliable energy.

Blue-state climate activists are trying to do what voters rejected: impose a carbon tax through woke lawfare. Boulder-style climate lawsuits would slap US energy producers with billions in liability, hand foreign adversaries the advantage, and stick consumers with higher gas and electricity bills. Consumers shouldn’t be forced to bankroll the left’s courtroom climate agenda.

The Biden SEC’s climate disclosure rule was a way for woke activists to push Progressive Lifestyle Choices onto consumers. It would have buried small businesses in costly paperwork, invited lawsuits, and limited choices for consumers — all for a climate agenda. Rescinding it is a win for consumers.

Climate activists are trying to smuggle their woke agenda into the courts through a “scientific evidence” handbook for judges. Thank goodness this issue is already before the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court should shut this down and make these types of efforts a moot point before consumers are stuck with higher costs and less reliable energy.
