How tf does one manage that
0 - Spain's Mikel Oyarzabal is the first player on record since 1966 to play the first 30 minutes of a FIFA World Cup match without touching the ball once. Peripheral.

How's this a problem but advertising breaks in middle of each halves isn't?
🚨 FIFA are investigating assistant VAR Shaun Evans after a hand gesture he made before Germany vs Curaçao was interpreted by some as having links to far-right extremist groups. How times are changing... years ago, if you saw someone making that sign, it usually meant you were about to get a dead arm from your mate. 😅🥲

The Americans have actually forced quarters - disguised as ‘hydration breaks’ - into our beautiful game. And succeeded. Sickening.

One of intangible things that makes football beautiful is the ebb and flow of momentum in a game, you could be under pressure and suddenly flick a switch before having 5-10 mins that see you score. These “Hydration Breaks” directly alter that, all in the pursuit of money. Shite.

These ‘hydration breaks’ are fundamentally warping the World Cup. Curacao had just enjoyed perhaps the highlight so far with that equaliser against Germany and were on the attack again. Then three minutes to promote a laptop brand, and momentum is handed straight back. Wretched.
