We are now at the stage that people expect 100% accuracy from referees. It can't happen while humans referee. However no-one is interested in the human part anymore. Old Trafford Sunday, 300 decisions nailed on, 1 red, 1 penalty. Zero reliance on VAR which people say refs should be stop doing. Any league without VAR that is given as a FK. One finger touching the ball is deemed in control, people forget that.
Our officials deserve far more credit than they receive. Martinez made a mistake and no-one is talking about it, again players can make mistakes but referees cannot.
Villa didn't turn up, no-one is talking about it.
