We just learned that AirPods Max are compatible with the motion sensing APIs we use to provide page turning via head movements. A firmware/OS update may be required to unlock it, but this is a nice perk for those who have these headphones!

We can't confirm whether or not this is also true of the new AirPods 3 (not pro)—they seem to have the right sensors but so did v2 and those weren't compatible. If you've got a set and can try it out, please let us know what you discover.

Well that was awkward timing, but Piano with(out) Friends is coming soon either way to iOS 13.4 or later, so it’s worth checking out even if SharePlay won’t be out quite as soon as we’d hoped. macrumors.com/2021/08/17/app…
