We are grateful as always for all the help and support from our brilliant volunteers who make it possible to grow many our own trees at our community tree nursery instead of buying all the trees we need from commercial nurseries for our hedge, woodland creation and #NFM projects.

We will be out doing maintenance on the big tree planting site at Gorpley reservoir this Thursday 6th March. We will be replanting trees and replacing tree stakes where high winds or stray sheep have caused some damage and we would really appreciate help. eventbrite.co.uk/e/gorpley-r…

Productive day at the nursery on Friday with gusty 45mph winds and a few showers for good measure. Thank you to all our #volunteers who came and helped this week. Julie usually works on a Friday but chose to volunteer with us as part of a work World Pledge Day so it worked out 🌍

A big shout out to Deborah and Toby for #volunteering at our tree nursery. We spent a few hours getting trees ready for delivery and for a planting session with a group of cub scouts. Unfortunately, the planting day got postponed just as we got all the trees ready for loading 😅

Please sign and share this petition🙏 petition.parliament.uk/petit… Peatland is a vital ecosystem that forms over 1000s of years & acts as a carbon sink by storing vast amounts of carbon. It's also home to many rare plants, insects and birds on the #RSPB red list at risk of extinction

Please sign and share this petition to help protect peat land. We need more windfarms and renewable energy but not on peat, an important ecosystem that is formed over thousands of years. Disturbing peat releases stored carbon into the atmosphere. petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Big thanks to Deborah for volunteering at the tree nursery again this week. We processed trees in preparation for delivery next week to a local farm. We really appreciate people supporting the work we do and our community nursery by getting our trees for their planting projects💚

Hopefully everyone is having a lovely break for Xmas and new year🎄 We were at the community tree nursery today as part of our usual Friday weekly tree nursery day. We enjoyed the sunshine, processed seeds for germination, and got trees ready for delivering in the new year.

#Solstice hedge planting on Saturday with a mix of sunshine, rain and 55mph winds. We were very doubtful that any volunteers would turn up, thinking we probably should have cancelled. 13 amazing volunteers turned up bracing the adverse weather to help us plant 80m of hedging 😍🙏

We're so incredibly lucky to have many wonderful people come out and volunteer to help us with our various projects! This is one of them, Gavin helping with site maintenance earlier this week. Please get in touch if you want to get involved and help out 💚 forustree.org

It was great to get outdoors and do something positive and useful for people and our planet. Thanks for the opportunity - we loved it.
We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to the lovely folks from St Augustine's Centre for Refugees for their help with our 2km #hedgerow planting project at Mount Tabor 💚 They planted 80 metres (480 trees) of a 160 metre stretch beside the playground at Mount Tabor 🌳

Another busy day on Friday heeling in over 3,000 Hawthorns until they get planted out on site over the next few months as part of our hedging projects. We're extremely grateful for Deborah's help with heeling in trees over the last 2 weeks 💚 We're here every Friday between 11-4

We delivered 4 Silver Birch trees grown at our nursery to @thearkexp this week 😊 Last year they started a lovely new tradition of planting a tree every year for each Pre School Cohort and contacted us as they wanted to source the trees locally, they're just down the hill from us

Over 3000 trees and shrubs heeled in with the help of our volunteers Anna and Deborah on Friday. We still have another 3000 trees to heel in next week to keep them safe from frost and colder weather until they get planted out on site as part of our planting projects this winter.
