Saw it on Thursday night. Such a beautiful and energizing scene. There is a way it soothes the heart seeing the National flag flapping that high.
The red strobe light on top of the tallest flag in sub-saharan Africa flashes as a marker and waypoint for aircraft flying at night or in poor weather.

Visited this afternoon Tripple J Agro farm in Bombo. Its an 80 acre dairy farm with 140 dairy animals indoors ( zero grazing). They are powering their operations 100% with Bio-gas from the animal waste. Its zero waste for them. They are also processing yogurt and gradually going into pasteurized and powdered milk. Excited to see commercial farmers investing and developing whole value chains on farm and therefore creating Jobs! Our strategy as government in the next 5 years is to ensure that all clusters of farmers ( small, medium & large ) get supported to fully produce with added value. PDM interventions will be scaled up to support more small holders while favorable ( low or no interest) credit facilities will be rolled-out through UDB and other government banks to support the medium and large scale clusters. This is how the agriculture sector will create more jobs and contribute substantially to the 10 fold growth strategy of the economy and be able to sustain the agro-industries.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni launched Uganda’s first locally developed anti-tick vaccine at the National Livestock Resources Research Institute (NaLIRRI) in Namulonge, Nansana Municipality, commissioning the innovation as a major milestone in the country’s livestock research and disease control efforts. He noted that the vaccine provides a sustainable solution to tick-borne diseases that have long affected livestock productivity, strengthening Uganda’s efforts towards improved animal health and agricultural transformation. @NaLIRRI @narouganda @NARO_NaCRRI #ThePresidencyUg

Took off time this afternoon to check on the readiness of our garden as we prepare to do the ensiling of the maize. We thank God for the sufficient rains we have received (and still receiving) this season. Excited & Optimistic about the harvest! Bulking and storing enough livestock feed, is a key enabler to sustainable milk production. If you think milk & cows, think first and plan for feeds !
