We must keep in mind two attitudes in our Christian life in order to be “wise architects” in building the civilization of love. The first guiding principle is to take up the cross of Christ as Good Samaritans, accompanying and helping to carry the burdens of so many brothers and sisters who are crucified by life’s trials. The second principle is to cultivate a Eucharistic spirituality, a spirituality of ecclesial unity in love.

The human heart is not filled by accumulating experiences, possibilities, or temporary guarantees; it is filled when it discovers a call, when it understands that life reaches fullness only if it is given. Following Christ does not impoverish existence, but expands it. #ApostolicJourney

It is not merely a matter of bringing out the monstrance, but of allowing ourselves to be brought out of our selfishness and indifference, of a comfortable, private faith, so as to respond to His invitation to conversion, to change our perspective, and to welcome His presence which transforms us and makes us builders of a new world.

As we embark upon the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (and as I anxiously await the mark from my JCL comprehensive exam), here’s a very important canon for our reflection. Seriously, this is so incredibly rich and beautiful.

I invite your prayers for myself, classmates, and professors as we undertake the oral comprehensive examination for the licentiate in canon law (JCL). Mine is in just over two hours. 😅🙏

Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. Deep inner suffering inevitably arises when the human person is reduced to performance, consumption, or a statistical datum. Many young people today live under the yoke of expectations to perform, immersed in an exasperated competitiveness that generates anxiety, fear of not measuring up, and disorientation.

As I near the completion of my licentiate in canon law, I've received my comprehensive exam schedule. The one hour exam (😵‍💫) is June 5, 8:45am SK time, via Zoom. Two profs for the first half and two others for the last half. I invite your prayers for us students and our profs!
