In 2015, IFAW & @iwc_int carried out training for specialists at the Environmental Authority in Oman. Six years later, those lessons were put to practice to rescue an endangered humpback whale from entanglement in the port of Duqm. Congratulations to the @eso_oman_ team!

10 years ago the IWC Global Whale Entanglement Response Network was formed. This week it very likely saved an Endangered Arabian Sea humpback whale. Thanks for the support to everyone behind this initiative @iwc_int @ifawglobal @CCSPtown @portofduqm @eso_oman_ @ea_oman
