James Hunt was probably more countercultural and woke than Lewis Hamilton! Sleeping around and getting drunk all the time wasn’t trad masc in the 70s, it was subversive, free-love type behaviour. He was also a vocal critic of apartheid and funded activists trying to end it

The Prince estate has enough material for decades & they need a 4x a year release schedule:
Record Store Day: April & November. They should focus on live releases on vinyl & follow up later with digital/CD.
June & October: Something bigger should come out every summer & fall.

When I compare this to the work being done for the catalogs of Joni Mitchell (fortunately with her involvement) and (posthumously) Tina Turner, Olivia Newton-John & Donna Summer it makes this release news *beyond* frustrating.
Prince should get that treatment. Why isn't he?

We seem to be in an era where so much bootleg/unofficial Prince stuff looks really professional and slickly put together, while so much of the *official* stuff seems… to resemble ‘90s bootlegs 😭
Say what you want.
Some of the most beautiful, thoughtfully put together Prince projects are bootlegs.
The estate could learn a thing or seven.
