In graduate school I made this artist book “Husband Calling Competition” that looked at these competitions at county fairs around the Midwest, where women took the stage to perform “husband calls” in this hyper real performance of heteronormativity.
GenderFail Reader 3 ends with the “Say Their Name Protest Font” on essay on my newest protest font based on signs displaying the name of black people that have been murdered by the police. #saytheirname #BlackLivesMatter
