Alberta - and all of Canada - are set to boom in the coming years. Foreign direct investment in Canada is at its highest level in 18 years - and twice that of the next closest G7 country.

Why does the premier of Ontario have to fly anywhere on the police jet? Where are the justifications? Unlikely to be security, so what else is there? Why are our tax dollars, dedicated to policing, being misappropriated to fly @fordnation about?

Notice how the loudest voices telling you Canada is completely broken, we’re in a recession, nobody can afford anything, and the whole country is collapsing… Are also the ones with a Patreon link in their bio. Or a course to sell you. Or a newsletter subscription. Or a tip jar. Or a book. Or a merch store. Doom is a business model. The more hopeless they can make you feel, the more likely you are to pay them to explain it to you. If Canada is so unaffordable, how are these people making a living screaming about it on the internet full time? Canada has real problems worth talking about. Housing costs are brutal. Groceries are expensive. Those are legitimate conversations. But there’s a difference between someone trying to fix a problem and someone trying to monetize it. One of them wants things to get better. The other needs things to stay broken. And before anyone comes at me: my page literally tells you not to subscribe. I don’t want your money. I just want people to think.
